The reporter learned from the press conference on industrial and information development achievements since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China held by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on June 14 that China's industrial green development has achieved remarkable results in the past decade. "Industry is one of the important fields of energy consumption and carbon emissions in China." At the press conference, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xin Guobin introduced, "Over the past decade, we have firmly established and implemented the concept that green waters and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains, and adhered to the path of green and low-carbon circular development." Xin Guobin shared several sets of data on industrial green development: In terms of energy and water consumption, energy consumption per unit of added value for industries above designated size has decreased by 28% and 16% respectively during the "12th Five Year Plan" and "13th Five Year Plan", and will further decrease by 5.6% in 2021. The water consumption for industrial added value of 10000 yuan will further decrease by 7% in 2021, based on a decrease of 35% and nearly 40% during the "12th Five Year Plan" and "13th Five Year Plan" periods, respectively. In terms of comprehensive utilization of resources, the comprehensive utilization rate of general industrial solid waste will reach 55.4% in 2020, and the amount of recycled resources will be about 380 million tons. In cultivating new engines of green development, since 2012, the compound annual growth rate of the total output value of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry has exceeded 10%. Xin Guobin introduced that in the past decade, focusing on energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green transformation in the industrial field, he has focused on the following aspects of work: First, implement the green manufacturing project. We will solidly promote the construction of a green manufacturing policy and standard system, and create a group of green factories, green industrial parks, and green supply chain management enterprises. At the same time, it has further deepened industrial and financial cooperation and established a key project recommendation mechanism in cooperation with relevant financial institutions to support the green transformation of industrial enterprises. Second, increase the supply of green technology equipment products. Strengthen technological breakthroughs, standard guidance, demonstration and promotion, and gradually build a full chain green product supply system from basic raw materials to end consumer goods. Since the "12th Five Year Plan", more than 20000 green products have been promoted, and more than 4000 energy-saving, water-saving, and comprehensive resource utilization technology and equipment have been promoted. Third, actively promote the recycling of industrial resources. A number of industrial resource comprehensive utilization bases with significant demonstration effects have been built, standardized management of renewable resource industries such as scrap steel and plastic has been implemented, and the extended producer responsibility system has been actively implemented. More than 10000 new energy vehicle power battery recycling service outlets have been established. The recycling and utilization system for solar photovoltaic battery components is also under planning and construction.
