Yiliang Chihong Mining Co., Ltd
Screen machine model: Landsky D5Z1021
Process: Replace the original spiral classifier and ball mill to form closed-circuit grinding
Mineral: lead-zinc ore
A large -scale beneficiation plant in Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd, its granularity of the original ore is extremely uneven, which is rich in lead, zinc, sulfur, and accompanied by rare metals such as silver, germanium, etc., also contains calcite, dolomite and other gangue minerals, which are complicated and difficult to be classified.
The original design of the beneficiation plant’s separation process is shown in Figure 1-1. The ball mill and the spiral classifier constitute a closed-circuit mill, and the overflow (qualified product) get into the rough lead and sulfur separating operation. Among them, the classified overflow products show a "dumbbell-shaped" distribution, the -25 μm particles with poor recovery effect accounted for 38.32 %, and they were serious "over-grinding"; the zinc distribution rate in +74 μm reached 34.39 %, obviously “deficient-grinding”; Therefore, how to improve the classification effect of grinding system has become the key factor to improve the beneficiation index.
At the beginning of 2019, Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd. replaced its original spiral classifier with a high -frequency fine screen produced by Landsky.

The process after upgraded is shown in Figure 1-2:

The classification effect after upgraded
From the above table it can be seen, compare the oversize of high-frequency fine screen and the particle size of products returned by the spiral classifier, the content of -200 mesh to +500 mesh in the oversize of high-frequency screen is on an average about 17.64%, which is approximately 25.14% lower than the spiral classifier; The classification efficiency of the grinding operation has been significantly improved, effectively solved the problems of "over-grinding" and "under-grinding" in the sorting operation of lead-zinc ore.
The process index after upgraded
After Landsky’s high-frequency fine screen put into service, the recovery rate of lead in the processing plant was increased to 89.77%, and the recovery rate of zinc was increased to 95.31%.
Economic benefits after upgraded
After using Landsky high-frequency fine screen, the zinc content of tailings is reduced by 0.29% approximately, which improves the comprehensive recovery utilization of valuable metals, reduces metal loss, and significantly enhance the economic benefits of the enterprise.
Landsky will continue to provide the best classification solutions to domestic and foreign clients, and to promote the continuous upgrading of screening and beneficiation technologies in metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, coal, and non-metallic industries.
